Why we started the project "Supreme Court Judgments?"

I have many advocate friends. One of them has read about a Supreme Court judgment. The brief detail he was remembering:

"A house was purchased in the name of minor daughter by father as benami transaction. After marriage, the daughter filed suit against father for ownership of house."

He was not able to retrieve the judgment from this detail using the current Supreme Court Judgment e-book used by him. He was discussing this with me and stressing the need for e-book where the case details can be given in plain simple English and the e-book retrieve the relevant judgment with relevancy score.

Thus, we started the project "Supreme Court Judgments" with this idea.

Let us put the above detail in "Advanced Search":



The result displayed by the e-book:




My friend was looking for first judgment displayed: G. Mahalingappa Vs G. M. Savitha. The software has put it at top place with score of 75.26%

Though, this single result does not prove anything. However, we have tested the software by putting thousands of searches and found it effective in most of the cases.

I shall be discussing many more results in forthcoming period.
